Data Storage

We use localStorage to save your game progress and interface preferences. Game progress and theme preference stay on your device and are not transmitted to any server or third party. Unsent learning-behavior events may sit briefly in local storage before they are uploaded to our servers.

During mission completion, your uploaded photos and videos will be stored in our cloud database. These files are only accessible to administrators for educational purposes and progress tracking.

During AI mission chat, the messages you send and the AI coach replies are stored in our cloud database and transmitted through our AI service while being processed. These conversation records are used to continue your learning progress, support educational assessment, and let you resume the same mission later; administrators may review them as needed.

When you are logged in and working on a mission, we record learning-behavior events (for example switching missions, reloading the page, leaving a mission, how you assemble a prompt, sending a prompt, restarting, completing a mission, workspace actions, and use of suggested questions). These records are sent to our servers and stored in our cloud database. Cloud behavior logs are not written when you are not logged in. A small number of unsent events may sit briefly in local storage on your device until they are uploaded.

What We Store

• Game progress (current mission number)
• Interface theme preference (adventure-theme: dark or light)
• Adventure identifier
• AI mission chat content (your messages and AI replies)
• Mission ID, timestamps, and learning progress status linked to chat
• Uploaded photos and video files
• Upload time and mission information
• Learning-behavior logs: student identifier, mission number, event name, and time of occurrence (administrators may export these for classroom analysis)
• Behavior events cover: switching, reloading, or leaving a mission; idle time; returning to the hub or logging out; opening mission details; inserting principle chips (click or drag); typing inside a blank or between chips; viewing or selecting examples; sending a prompt; restarting or completing a mission; opening suggested questions; expanding or editing workspace fields

Learning-behavior logs store the event name and time only. They do not include the full sentences you type into blanks or the canvas. Your full prompt text and AI replies are still stored separately in chat history, as described above.

We do not collect additional personal details such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers within Adventure mode. AI conversations, uploaded files, and learning-behavior logs are linked to your logged-in session and student identifier for progress tracking and classroom analysis; conversation content and cloud behavior logs are not saved unless you are logged in.

Why We Store This

Storing game progress, AI conversation history, and uploaded files is strictly necessary to provide the full adventure experience. This allows you to leave and continue your adventure and mission chats later without restarting. Conversations and uploads are used for tracking learning progress and educational assessment.

We store learning-behavior logs to understand how students use the site to learn. These records are created when you use Adventure while logged in; there is no in-app switch to turn behavior logging off.

Your Control

You can clear locally stored game progress and interface preferences at any time. That only affects data on this device; it does not delete content already saved in the cloud. AI chat conversations, photos, videos, and learning-behavior logs stored in the cloud database cannot be deleted by users themselves — only administrators can manage these records. Please contact us if you wish to request access to or deletion of stored conversations, uploads, or behavior logs.
